“The landscapes which he has chosen for the OMV project work as a understated comment on the changing landscapes of contemporary Europe, unified, dissonant, harmonious in its aspirations and still fragmented by misunderstandings. The current state of Europe, just before new countries will join the Union, is reflected in the apparent changelessness of nature, indifferently surrounding, like the scenery near the gas stations of OMV from Moldavia to Austria. A different sense of globalization and a subtly political statement become intermingled in the unassuming images."
